It should be against AFL policy to suspend anyone called Rory. Sloane should be an extra exemption.

As good as the round was, some great games we didn’t learn to much that most would have thought.

-Carlton might be the real deal (eg play finals this year)
-We expected better from St Kilda and Essendon

The rest was all business as usual based on last year
-Melbourne are the side to beat
-Port can’t find a way to beat the top 4 sides
-Adelaide will be pretty average
-West Coast injuries are going to hurt them
-Sydney are a decent enough side
-Gold Coast love a good start to the year
-Much of a muchness between Hawks and Kangas

Wedgie is correct, likely be upheld after seeing this vision

I do have a problem with Sloane and Rioli getting the same punishment though 1 week

Dave Warner will be missed!

Ha, nice work Kano

Brisbane @ The Gabba is probably the hardest road trip going atm, it was an honourable loss and I was pleased that we actually led for as long as we did and finished as close as we did.

We have a terrible record up there and I went in with little confidence, it was a pass mark for me.

West Coast are pure horse shit this year, they are going to struggle big time.

Watching Matt Rowell play is such a highlight, I just hope that one season he plays enough games to win himself a Brownlow, he is always going to get injured playing like he does.

Yeah I guess I more meant that Port haven't in round 1 shown they are streaks ahead of other top 4 sides and they also weren't disgraced and did enough to show they are in the top 4 discussion. We literally learnt nothing about them in round 1 that has changed from last season so far.

My guess is that this years ladders are going to be pretty similar to last years.

Agree West Coast will be trash with their injuries this year. I think Sydney will be genuinely be in that top 6 along with Melbourne, Bulldogs, Port, Brisbane, Geelong.

Adelaide, Hawthorn, Kangaroos and WC will round out the bottom 4.

Carlton, Essendon, St Kilda, Collingwood, GWS, GC, Freo,, Richmond will be in the dog fight for spots 7-14.

There is your season sorted...….no need to play the rest now   I just cant see any teams causing any major shocks this season.

Not sure Whuffer was backpedalling there. The Power not beating the top sides is business as usual as per the last couple of years. Until they start doing that (may well happen, although I suspect not under Kenny), they've clearly not improved.

That is a fair assessment, if you eliminated home ground advantages I think Port are the 4th best side atm, I agree with your Kenny sentiments, there is clearly something not ticking the vital box, I thought we were good enough the past two seasons.

I reckon Brisbane are a far better side this season than they were last, us marginally better.

I think covid will cause havoc this season and will decimate a team or two without notice.

Yeah Covid is definitely the unknown factor in this season.

Are players still getting tested before each game???

They need to stop leaning on the injuries excuse also. Brisbane lost their best player in Zorko and still ran it out. It gives the players an out if all the club and media talk about is how they only lost due to injuries.

And I’m saying that as a football supporter not just because he plays for the Crows.
