Presumably will be with Strikers too

Heard they were going to target couple of pace bowlers.

With Mennie and Worrall off the list next year, is very young list. Doggett and McAndrew been good this year.

Thornton looks good, but need another star, like a Doggett, WA seem to have plenty, would go for Kelly if was my choice.

He bloody well nearly rolled over on to the rope, what a tragedy that would've been.

Amazing catch though.

Here's the squad (via MyCricket) for this week's match v NSW:
R GIBSON
JM Carder
LA Scott
T Kelly
*HJ Hunt
BT Capel
DJ Worrall
NJ McAndrew
J Lehmann
SH Johnson
+HJ Nielsen
JS Buckingham
B Doggett
NA McSweeney
D Drew
Given the events of the weekend you would think Gibson would be no chance. Capel obviously named as Covid cover only as his form does not warrant selection (then again the Redbacks do reward mediocrity!!).

Correct MC, large squad due to COVID. Already ruled out are Pope, Winter, Agar and Weatherald. Think Capel named as they need an opener. His form has been ordinary lately, so not the time to try him out.

Would assume Carder can now open with Hunt, plenty of other batters around. Gibson out now. Drew hit on head fielding at silly mid on, would have to be in some doubt also with concussion symptoms. Would think Josh Doyle with his double tons in Futures would be more deserving than Capel.

Jordan Buckingham and Bailey Capel to debut tomorrow the rumour. Spencer Johnson 12th man.

COVID thru the Redbacks made opportunities obviously. As previously said, don’t think Bailey in great form lately so bit lucky, but may grab his chance and run with it.

Five West Torrens players out of 12

The SA Scorpions will play Tasmania in the WNCL final, as NSW lost to Qld in the last match.

Since it became the WNCL in 1996/97, this and last season are the first two seasons that NSW have failed to make the final. NSW won 20 out of the 24 finals prior. SA beat NSW in 2015/16 to end a 10 consecutive winning streak by NSW. This is Tasmania's first final.

Redbacks win toss and bowl again - must be worried about our brittle bating line up.

CA website has opener as Taylor Brotherston (whoever that is!!) - must be error and meant to be Capel.

They've listed a female player from Queensland! WTF

Seeing as the Scorpions are in the final perhaps they could have been disguised as the Redbacks....they couldn't do any worse!
