Well bowled.
That's his 19th five wicket haul in test cricket, his forth in the 4th innings. He now has 98 of his 427 wickets in the 4th innings of a match, his bowling average (29.2) and economy (2.79) is his lowest and his strike rate is the second lowest (62.7) in the 4th innings out all four innings of a match.

Great declaration!
Well done to Pat and his men for breaking a 24 year drought without a win in Pakistan

Now to a few different tests in Sri Lanka and India where Spin will play a much bigger role on tricker wickets. Also hopefully that shuts up the nonsense about Langer, coaches at that level rarely make a difference.

How can you possibly judge the impact the coach has had on this squad? How do you know that Andrew McDonald wasn't the difference?

Cummins now has 197 test wickets in 41 matches @21.27 at a SR of 46.4 and economy of 2.74.

What does a coach do at International level other then run training and to keep the players upbeat? McDonald clearly plays a back seat role to Cummins and co.

Yes, that seems to be a major part of the coaches role.

It’s more of a communication role, Pat Cummins simply wouldn’t have the time to study video, stats etc when his trying to play for Aus, NSW, IPL.

I actually think we underestimate the time a coach actually saves a captain that simply wouldn’t have in the modern era.

The first of three ODI's between Pakistan and Australia is on tomorrow night.

Mitch Marsh injured himself at training (hip flexor) and will miss at least the first match, Cam Green is tipped to take his place. Steve Smith isn't playing in the tours white ball games due to his ongoing left elbow issue with Marnus Labuschagne most likely to take his spot.

Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc and Warner have already come back to Australia.

The white ball squad is a relatively inexperienced- Aaron Finch (c), Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Jason Behrendorff, Alex Carey, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Marnus Labuschagne, Mitchell Marsh, Ben McDermott, Marcus Stoinis, Mitchell Swepson, Adam Zampa

Did you Aleem Dar give Head out earlier in the innings? Head reviewed straight away and it had pitched outside leg by a fair bit!

Spewing!
Typical Head going hard and throwing it away but playing like that obviously got him to a hundred and he was smashing them everywhere. Fastest ODI hundred by an Aussie opener since 2011.
