On Saturday we played Tea Tree Gully in three trial matches. In my trial match in the B grade a TTG player had a shot on goal after the final siren. As he lined up two losers involved with my club were abusing him. He proceeded to kick the goal and then quite rightfully absolutely gave it back to them as did a couple of his team mates that were nearby, I found it quite funny and had no issues with them doing that, the two guys deserved it.

After my game I then went back to our club where our B grade cricket team were playing their Semi final against Sheidow Park. Again there were a couple of sideline warriors a part my club abusing a Sheidow player as he fielded a ball on the boundary.

I've always been very vocal on the field and I love on field banter, having a laugh and getting stuck into the opposition when they make a mistake and celebrating our successes but these spineless knobs that consistently abuse the opposition from the boundary is just such a bad look for my club and it's embarrassing.

I feel your sentiments, it's even worse being your own club doing it.

Whenever I go and watch my kids play I find the most isolated spot and set up camp there, I applaud good efforts from either side and the only time I even say anything is if I'm trying to tell my kid to reposition themselves if they're playing footy or I'll use some sort of sign language if they are batting or bowling for a bit of advice, they generally look over towards me when they're doing either as they know I'll see something from afar they might help them.

Absolutely, it's too hard for them to get out there, play the game in any grade and help the club out but it's easy to sit on the sidelines and abuse the opposition.

Kind of on the same theme and I reckon most clubs have them is the bloke(s) who take pot shots at everyone who was a 'gun' junior player and never could be arsed playing seniors but they still think they were/would be the greatest sportsmen to step foot on the planet.

If it wasn't for being the smallest non official midget on the planet I would have been the best at EVERYTHING.

Now Im not coaching my kids anymore I do the same, its been very enjoyable.

Speaking of giving me the shits, both boys have moved clubs to teams that both have green in their jumper, never been able to get used to having green in footy :YMSICK:

Side note......the Italian Serie A soccer league has banned teams from having green kits because it doesn't come up on the tv broadcast well blending in with the pitch.

Lying in bed watching TV and losing the remote, you know it's in there somewhere but you don't want to get up, you sit up somewhat, leaning on one elbow and have a feel around, checking under the pillows but still can't find it, at this point an FFS is muttered and you're resigned to the fact you need to get out of bed. This is the shitworthy part, no sooner than your 2 feet hit the ground and you look back down, the fukka magically appears
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

I've cut out bread and pastry as much as I can, if I have any I have a Gaviscon ready to go.

Be careful taking those things, my mate Gavin died from taking too many. I still can't believe Gaviscon!
