I thought PA was extra good against the Lions in bananaland
Had a few injured and did a great job
They will come good too much talent at the club

Can’t shoot the bloke after 2 games, but haven’t liked anything from Finlayson thus far, he’s lucky there’s injuries imho

People mock Charlie Dixon a lot but I think you can see the value he brings in spades when his not in the team

I reckon when Dixon comes back in you will see a different Finlayson. He was never the main man at the GWS.

Dixon will come back and get the best defender and it will open up Poets forward line as he's used to have rank ass shit forward entire to him.

This, this, THIS!

What do fans actually expect players to say in pressers? Was Sloane going to say "My word they were shit, we're actually a chance to win on Friday night, f*cking funny!" Was Jonas going to say "Our season looks f*cked and the coach will probably get sacked"?

There's a fair gap between being diplomatic and just down right lying.
Rory isnt the most polished media performer, he should have worded that differently. If he said "they were outstanding against Brisbane so we know what they can bring", then that would work.

I'm not sure Rory Sloane has even really given much of an insight in his press dealings. If he did, no doubt the likes of Ian Shuttleworth would have a stern word.

We are well aware of Port's capabilities...really, anything other than outstanding would have been fine.

Then 70% of them will lick his balls if we turn around and trounce the crows by 50 points.

He's done some great things, he's unearthed some real talent, he had some great idea's and was one dodgy free kick away from playing in a GF that I reckon we would've won, but there's some form of breakdown happening and the time is up.

I absolutely loved the guy and couldn't speak highly of what he did for Port, just not anymore, Boaky and Gray's windows are closing and it's sad that they probably won't get a premiership medal.

I’ve hung shit on him on here for years.
From all reports he’s a great guy, fantastic mentor and father figure to lots of the players but that won’t win you premierships.

Yep, time is up....but, we were literally bottom when he came on board, he had us mid-table for a few years as the list was built and we've had two cracks at top 4 on the back of that build. Everything went our way in 2020, the hub etc etc except for encountering Richmond on their way a 3rd flag in 4 years and perhaps a pinch of luck. Last years finish was a disgrace on the back of, I think, a pretty remarkable effort to be where we were when things got serious.

He's done a hell of a lot right but not when it counted so it's time for change.

Isn’t he contracted to the end of 2023?
Unless you have a white knight who is paying that out?
The AFL won’t support it.

If Hinkley's contract is not heavily performance based for a cheap pay out, then you can take CD with you when you turf Ken.
Only thing that sucks about all this is you'll likely get Clarko.

He's contracted for next year, yes, but any AFL club in debt, as Port are, have a maximum 6 month pay out clause on senior coach contracts. It'd be $300-400k to pay him out. Not onerous at all.

Surely the afl will send Clarko on massive $$ to gold coast or gws.
The afl won’t fund anything for port and where will port find $1.5 mill for Clarko
