Just another excuse not to turn up

No excuses to leave early for the train then even if they are 6 goals down at 3/4 time...

This is such a lame take.

Mate, you got the bestest ever supporters who always stick by the team through thick and thin and never leave games early.

I wouldn't be working if I had a $1 for every time I've heard that
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Blockbuster on TV? Yes

Blockbuster for parents on a school night and ammo's who train? No.
Thursday nights are the worst IMO.
We have a stack of Port members at work that won’t go and wouldn’t even if they were 13-0.
For a 7pm start you need to take time off work and then get home at midnight

How? If you finish at 5 you've an hour to get home and an hour to get there, unless you live in the way outer suburbs that's very achievable in Adelaide.

7:10 start > about 10pm finish, 2 hours to get home?
Our work is all pretty much 6-6:30pm finish and yes many do live either Northern or Southern suburbs so around a hour to get home once you fight your way out of the ground and then the car park

Obviously that makes a difference, but that isn't a "normal" finish time by any stretch.

Of course not but by the same token I don’t really know too many people these days that don’t work until 5:30pm.
I just think Thursday is a bad night overall for attending football personally and I do know many others that feel the same

Agree, thursday night is average for the fan at the ground. Good for TV, but that's it.

My cricket activities have finally finished, round 4 is Port's first home game post cricket, ready to crack in, and bam, it's come and sit in a half empty, windy stadium on a school night.

I'll probably still go, cause I don't have anything better to do, but geez, it's hardly the inviting return to footy that has me counting down the hours til first bounce!
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Did Port tell their members/supporters that Gray wasn’t playing last weekend due to COVID protocols?

Yep, was unlikely to play with the knee he copped in Brisbane, but isolation took him out anyway.

Seems to be a level headed mature individual who would be aware that the consequences for breaking the protocol would only bring harm to him and the club. I just get the impression he is not that type of person.
