The owner is my best mate and he cannot get staff to work weekends. He tried opening during January and the staff just keep letting him down and he would have to end up working 7 days a week. I don’t blame him not wanting to work 7 days a week with a young family. It’s still disappointing because it’s a awesome bakery.

Bakery is good, the chicken shop..,[/quote]

I'm a big fan of their fish burger if you are talking about the joint next to the old Foodland.

Nup, fair enough too. Not a slight on him, just disappointing when you're craving a post hangover cornish pastie and can't get one! Their food is great but you have to be quick to get anything.

Went to Wallaroo for our wedding anniversary on the March long weekend and stayed in the apartments next to/attached to the Ale House, nice spot there. The Bond Store is quality and the Ale House is pretty good too.

Yeah, that seems to drag on a bit, it's handy when it's hot and it gives you time to go to the beach or do something outdoorish after work but it runs it's course in my opinion.

Cooked a roast lamb yesterday and the lad was circling around 4:30 asking when's dinner going to be ready.

He then proceeds to fulfill a major annoyance of mine and pillage the biscuit jar for the next hour and then make a sandwich about 15 minutes prior to the suggested "ready" time.

#1 son playing his first game of senior footy tomorrow, always had doubts whether he would continue with footy after his junior days, rapt that he is.
