Said it several times in this thread that it's time for change, but at seasons end not now or in round 15, nothing to gain from that.

Did Port do a "Team of the quarter century" at seasons end last year?

It won't be Port's call in the end...if Hinkley knows he's gone, he is not waiting around until the last match unless they are in the finals.

It’ll be a media circus all year.

You got any thoughts on how this will end for Hinkley @Booney?

You reckon? If there's one thing about Hinkley it's that he's always a believer, we might think he rambles on with his cliche's but I think he thoroughly believes in what he's putting down.

My point was if Port are not making finals and have told him they are moving him on but want him to coach out the year, I think Ken walks early.

It's a tough one, do you prefer to have your next season's coach in place by about round 15 to get a head start on list management and recruiting strategies?

Obviously a coach that has been in the game may have some influence over players they have coached previously, an early start could be helpful.

That's only if you promote a current assistant into the role, you're not getting anyone else into the club in round 15. Has nobody here ever watched a coaching appointment take place before?

His playing and coaching career suggests he's a driven man, sure he looks to be enjoying his time in the media but I reckon the focus for him will shift back to coaching soon.

When Hinkley gets moved on Buckley would be $1.01 to get the gig in my book.

From memory Collingwood fans were calling for his head in 2017 after finishing around 12th for the 4th year in a row. I think they got some good assistants in Sanderson and Harvey in and things turned around. Not sure he'd be the answer, as also comes across as a stubborn coach with regards to his gameplan.

Agreed.
Its his if he wants it.
However I don't reckon you'll dump Hinkley mid season unless you're winless at that time.
Can't see that being the case.

I've seen Hinkley copping it for having a Coke Zero during the game. The average person is so f*cking stupid it isn't funny.

In fairness it was probably outside its use by date if it was Coke Zero.
Someone needs to modernise Ken and introduce him to Coke No Sugar.
