Abbott/Liberal Govt Watch

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

Keating was the PM I disliked most. Partly because of his arrogant manner and partly on a personal basis when he started changing the rules and undermining long term tax rate saving measures I had in place, so that I had to keep restructuring my set up to head him off. And at one time he had not put in his tax return for 2 years himself!

(I was pleased my restructuring worked, and should I guess thank him for waking me out of my passivity. I got better at tax minimisation strategies once he shook me up.)

I was unimpressed with Tony Abbot too for other reasons, but reasonably happy with John Howard although he was a bit too conservative for my taste. I didn't mind Bob Hawke.

So are we going back to the yellow peril again?

Australian Federal politics has certainly found its new low.

Seems an odd tactic, but if actually look closer you could suggest there are a lot of groups that do not prefer Morrison as PM.

It's just a shit show Allround. I think it will be close because of Albo and the idiots that are part of Labor.

Then minor parties are ******* loonnies and then you have ScMo.

Honestly due to the sheer amount of morons on the cards it will be close.

Not sure of that is how Anthony Green would deliver it but I reckon it's on the money.

You might be right, but they're going to have to give their preferences in the lower house to one of them.

Sure he hedges his bets a bit but don't they all.

Scomo I have mixed thoughts about - he did a reasonable job with the CV issue by cooperating with the states early, but later started to rush "opening up" a bit and is clearly now trying to please corporates who donate.

I also object to any party imposing candidates from outside on local electorates but the ALP do it too.

What the ALP says currently sounds good, but on form they often don't deliver what they promise.

In Mayo I'll back independent incumbent Rebekha Sharkie
