BBQ available (canteen closed due to covid) and the beer will be cold :)

Was a great game for the neutral. HV really should’ve won it with the chances they missed but credit to Pembroke for doing enough. Evans with a really important bit of soccer work with 15-20 secs to go gained 40m of territory and iced it.

Levicki v Nobes was a great 1v1, very different strengths made the contest great to watch.

thanks for the rundown  - i didn't even see the game, i took Maschotta to hospital

Portland up and about early. Not sure if they have played anyone decent yet. Pulteney look a fair way off the mark but I expected Kenilworth to be far for difficult to beat at home.

It was game on at 3qtr time. I think Kenilworth will definately do enough to survive the division.
They had no bench before half time I overheard which on a warm day would not have helped (Portland may have too, I don't know)

I have not been around the club this year but a few names to return after easter, so I agree they will be tough to beat at home.

Jake Neade was absolutely everywhere, the class in Portland really showed in the last. Plus they just did not miss

Portland have some serious top end talent though - Neade, Thomas and a tribe of Milera's.. they've recruited well.

What’s happened to Mitcham? Heard big things all preseason and now they are getting hammered by 100 points

Rolled Walkerville away in Rd 1 in a high quality affair. All clubs cop it at some stage so see how clubs fair when they go through their patches of injuries/unavailabilities. The year is still very young.

Oh shit, I wasn't there but heard about it later in the day when I was, pretty sickening by all reports.

Good luck to the bloke, I hope he recovers well and quickly.

Jesus that’s bad. My missus used to work for a medical company when we lived in Perth and one of her jobs was to put together screw & plate kits for cases like this and get them on the next TOLL priority flight to surgeons all over the country for emergency surgeries. Saturday nights were always on call to the office for footy injuries in SA & Vic.

Unfortunately yes it is FC. Spare a thought for a Mitcham top end recruit who spent Saturday Night in hospital with a ruptured testicle, he was operated on Sunday and is doing well, but his life has just changed forever.

Right, well that cements it. I'm not going to make a comeback even to D grade.

I've been umpiring our D grade the past two weeks and thought about lining up in a pocket if they were short.

Nup, I'm done.

My thoughts exactly. Any thought I had of ever pulling on the boots again was immediately eliminated following seeing this. As much as I loved playing footy there also comes a time when you need to let it go and help your club out in other ways.
