R4 North v South

Postby DOC » Tue Apr 19, 2022 5:43 pm

Saturday 1.10

North come off an impressive victory and South come off a game to forget. I've tried but I can't.

South have played Prospect well of late winning 3 of the last 4 times there. South will hope to have Wilkinson back. Slape will miss with injury. North will lose their leading kicker Bauer but look to have 5 available including, Moore and Craig.

Will wait for the teams before I tip South by a point,

South will miss O'Neil who as been best or next to it three weeks in a row,

Geden selected to start the most surprising selection I have ever seen in football. Astonishing.

This year he has kicked 4 goals in 3 reserves games averaging 10 disposals., 2 marks, 2 clearances and 2 tackles. Had 7 disposals last week with a goal. Pinch hit in the ruck but at 194cm not a big option at league level.

Last year he averaged 8 disposals and kicked 7 goals in 14 matches.

On what form is he playing league football? Has shown nothing.

Will now kick the winner from 60 out after a run down tackle against Cambell Coombe.

Agree, Gaden selection threw me. Strange one that.

That saying O'Neill out is a massive blow to the side.
Mid field will suffer from his Health and Safety Protocol.

After watching South last week v Sturt, the first half was deplorable. Forward line all over the shop.

Unfortunately, I think North will win by 3 goals.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Spina is a huge out for North. Has held the defence together.
Not confident given the 4 outs have all been very good.

[South definitely undermanned through injury and the season has only just begun..
Going to be difficult at Prospect even though our record there in recent times is quite good.
O'neill missing is a big out for South as he has been in great form. For South to win Brooksby will need to find some form and someone will need to step up in the midfield in O'Neills absence.
South by 2 pts.

If North could not pick Longbottom this week it would be greatly appreciated.

Next week the times align much better so that we could all go down and get at minimal a half in of watching his debut.

Much better quarter for South but ruined it by a stupid short kick in defence which resulted in North’s only goal for the quarter right near the end. Good to see some fight though, game on!
