Wonder if the 22 spectators in North guernseys appreciate it?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

All I know is the 3 spectators in South guernseys didn’t think much of it.

Can’t go goalless in a half and expect to win. South showed some good fight to make it a game in the second half but fell short. North contested it hard late in the final quarter to ensure South couldn’t score again and the Roosters held up well. South really need to turn up in the first half and hopefully get some players back from injury/Covid.

Yes there were not many South supporters there today. Even my two boys decided to switch and follow my Dad in supporting North!! Only fair I suppose.

DOC wrote:This year he has kicked 4 goals in 3 reserves games averaging 10 disposals., 2 marks, 2 clearances and 2 tackles. Had 7 disposals last week with a goal. Pinch hit in the ruck but at 194cm not a big option at league level.

Last year he averaged 8 disposals and kicked 7 goals in 14 matches.

On what form is he playing league football? Has shown nothing.

Will now kick the winner from 60 out after a run down tackle against Cambell Coombe.

I thought he actually presented well today, mate.

Also thought of you and the above comment when he kicked that goal in the final term.

Pretty ordinary game in breezy conditions. South's skills poor for the second week in a row, and bombing to 15-20 metres out from goal ad nauseam didn't work.

Lacking the depth and experience of previous campaigns (injuries/absences not helping today) and a few of our usual standouts were quiet (ie Gibbs with 8 touches)

He had a crack and would have tallied a few "1 %ers", skills a little sloppy but was nice seeing him kick a goal.

Enjoyed the call today Phil. Thought Dan Menzel was very good in the supporting role.

Was Gibbs injured? 10 disposals seems awfully low for him.

Deplorable first half by South- exactly the same as the previous week against Strut.
Somehow got back into in the third when Wilkinson decided he might like to get near the football and booted 4- should have been 5 for the quarter. We nearly snatched it in the last quarter, but butchered a few chances, would have been an injustice with North completely dominant for most of the game.
Far too many non contributors again , with too much left for too few. A couple of big names missing big time.....

Thanks to the North supporters for the history lesson too....Who'd have thought..? South havent won a flag since since 1964-  I never knew that!!!
