Talk on the national game

Are we the first team to bottom out?

Patience was needed with others and it will be needed with us, no easy fix, I haven't seen the weekends game yet so can't comment, but having our 2 most experienced mids (thru external circumstances) out isn't helping when we need all hands on deck. Losing Tarrant was always going to cause short term pain down back. Up forward we have Larkey who has kicked more goals than Tom Lynch, Harry McKay, Peter Wright & Jack Gunston.

Just got to look at the positives, we need another draft haul (possibly 2) but more importantly we need another 30-40 games into our current young crop.

We still have a hangover from 2014-2018 when we went for a flag and our drafting through this period was pretty poor.

At the risk of “rolling out positive spin”, Brisbane were 0-8 in Fagan’s second year as coach.

It was a forgettable game but compared to the last two North v Geelong games it was champagne football. I reckon you blokes were trying to take the game on where last year that didn't appear to be evident at all, at least against us. In defence you concentrated on Hawkins which meant that Cameron created havoc. You didn't really have a good match up for him. I think you might have won the contested balls and few stats didn't look bad for North but there was no stage of the game where Geelong looked like losing. I think an easy fix might be to admit that X isn't the answer in ruck and to put Goldy back in there, especially against Carlton with possibly no Pittonet. It might be time to unleash CCJ and or Comben next week, X looks hopeless to me, made Rhys Stanley look good.

I reckon TT was nowhere near ready to play, he put in a few short steps at the contest, something he is not usually associated with. He could have done with another week. A positive for the Roos is I don't think they tossed in the towel at any stage, something I believe was leveled at the team in the Brissy loss. As the impatient ones tend to forget, Noble just doesn't have the cattle.

Good calls there REB, although sadly I think Goldy's time is up, can see his career petering out this year, would like to be wrong but we also need to move forward with Xerri/CCJ

North will be fine

I doubt they will have a player over 30 on their list after this season, maybe bar Ziebell.

3 years off finals but that's rebuilding for you.
Dave Warner will be missed!

Not trolling.
Seen a lot of Jared in his 15's to 18's years.
Undeniable talent.
Thought he'd have a great AFL career.
Genuinely disappointed he hasn't.
As for "jogging on" its more "walk on" these days.

I love the Nth supporters positivity but no matter which way you look at, they are an absolute shit show and will be for a long time to come. I was quite steadfast on this in previous years and got shot down when I said the Crows had a better list and I think it's fair to say they are absolute miles ahead. It must really suck being a North supporter having to defend their shitfulness week in week out.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Crows lost 13 straight less than 2 years ago, 16 straight if you include the previous year

Noble has just apologised to the players because he gave them a spray and they were upset over it.

Apparently he got a bit personal and players were emotional about it.

They’re now pairing back their game plan because the feedback was it’s too difficult.

Ralph just said that on the couch.
