Yeah it's smashed the teachers at the moment. Child care is the same.

It was heading that way the same here before the breaks were pumped.

I wonder if they are just that all in with it that they can't back out now and they are running with it to the end?

Got my 4th jab this morning and a flu shot in the other arm.
No side effects yet except for a very minor dead arm, this was my 2nd moderna and the 2 Pfizers I had gave me much worse dead arms.
Only felt ordinary after one of the Pfizer jabs.

Not soon, my 3rd jab was last year.
Want extra protection over the winter when this thing will probably have another wave and I'm considering spending some time in offices again soon.
Doc suspsects I already had it but because it was just after my 3rd jab hardly noticed it, want that to happen again if I catch it again as I know a lot of others that are still suffering weeks later.

Might have got my 4th jab just in time. Wife has gone down with covid, you'd think the fact we share the same bed and do everything together would mean I have it but I'm still fine. She's been crook since Monday and describes it as being half way between a cold and flu. She'd probably be worse than most too as she has auto immune issues and suffers from rheumatoid arthritis.

My lad tested positive last Monday, and after hanging off me like a siamang monkey for the better part of 3 days, I tested positive last Friday on my 3rd PCR. Funnily enough, I did a RAT on the Friday after recieving the positive PCR result, which came back negative haha.

I've moved to a different room (and the pub during the day) so hopefully I avoid it.
As long as I get to see the Mariners on Sunday I'll be happy but a boy's pub night/day out today, Friday and Saturday is a bonus. :D
Doing a pub crawl today, first pub almost done. Aiming for a couple more before trying Shapeshifter after 3pm.
Damn Covid!

My wife does a great lasagne. Cooked one up tonight. I walked in the smell of garlic almost knocked me over. She said "the lasagne was a bit bland". Umm, nup, tasted great to me and she couldn't smell the garlic either which is now baked into the walls.

I haven't had Corona, the rest of the family has. Weird how it affects people differently.

For sure, my kids felt fine with just a mild sore throat and a runny nose, I had the whole box and dice, flattened me for 4 days.

Back in Auckland for work after over 2 years of Covid. Just had a brief walk around the city, and it’s deserted. Many of my previous favourite eating spots are closed. Fortunately the Irish pub Father Teds is open, but only 2 punters there. Snuck up the road for dinner just now to an Italian joint. Probably have a night cap in Sky City Casino…been a long day of travel, on a Sunday which sucks too.

So nothings changed pre-Covid then based on Peter Fitzsimons off used quote with respect to the land of the long white cloud, "I went to New Zealand once but it was closed...."
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
