A solid 3 for mine. A flag beckoned.

A solid 2 but was not helped by his recruiting staff.

Drafting midfielder after midfielder is not a good strategy.

What do you mean. They drafted plenty of talls, they certainly weren't short of key forwards. Probably light on in the ruck department but KPP, pretty solid.

I think he will, even though he had some great talent it must be hard working in an environment such as the Giants or GWS.
Maybe a head of football role?

They were the complete package in 2019, they obliterated Richmond early in the year as they did the Bulldogs in a knockout final.

They beat Brisbane @ the Gabba and Collingwood @ the G in knockout finals in the same year, both he and Kenny will finish up empty handed after their first shots at the coaching gig when both had the groups to get the job done.

The first AFL Grand Final at the MCG since 2019 looks set to take place in a twilight time slot.

The premiership decider was played under lights in Brisbane and Perth in 2020 and 2021 respectively after COVID forced the games away from Victoria.

The MCG is guaranteed to host the match this year, but perhaps not at the traditional 2.30pm start time.

7NEWS Melbourne’s Tom Browne reports the AFL Commission will meet next Wednesday to make its decision.

“They are expected to rubber-stamp a historic twilight grand final,” he said.

AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan, who will depart the role at the end of this year, has long wanted to push the grand final into the night.

But he has also acknowledged pushback from fans on the move.

“It was pretty spectacular here ... it was a pretty good slot I thought,” McLachlan said after last year’s grand final in Perth.

“To have the first half in the day, second half in the night, I like where it was - for this stadium I think it went perfectly.

“But MCG’s different - we’ll process it and have a look.

“I don’t think anything should be taken for granted, we’ll have a look at it.

“I know how many people want it during the day at the MCG.

“I think you play it on its merits given the venue, the state, the circumstance.”

Where to now Adelaide fans? Time to give Gollant and Thilthorpe a month up front and McAsey and Worrall a month down back? Might as well, you know Fogarty and Himmelberg are no good and the Frampton down back experiment lasted 4 weeks. Nicks has to be bold and play the blokes who haven't had a real run at it. The others have and have failed.

Do not listen to that man! Seriously though, Geelong are one of the easiest teams to tip. Look at the oppo. Do they have a decent midfield? If so tip the oppo. Did Geelong win last week? If they did, tip the oppo. This is regardless of venue as well. Now, Mr Boon might not agree but I reckon Port's mids are bog average, Boak is old enough to play for us and Ollie can't do it on his own. Cats lost last week so we get up this week. Problem solvered!

I think. ;)
