That has to be more than just out of form and be a complete case of the yips.

I mean at that level to not be able to get past one ball three times in six innings is crazy.

Luckily for Nathan Gilchrist his job in the team is not to bat but bowl!

Not announced as the coach as yet? All the media I've read today is that he is the favourite to take the position.

Now current Australian Women's coach Matthew Mott is likely to be named as England's White ball coach according to Cricinfo-

England have also named their squad for the first two tests of the series against NZ.

Ben Stokes (c), Alex Lees, Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook, Ben Foakes, Craig Overton, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Jack Leach, Matthew Potts.

Anderson and Broad recalled,
Batsman Brook and fast bowler Potts are in the England squad for the first time,
No room in the squad for Dan Lawrence, Rory Burns, Dom Sibley, Haseeb Hameed, Dawid Malan and Ollie Robinson who has struggled with injury and illness at the start of the County season.

Fast bowlers Chris Woakes, Saqib Mahmood, Sam Curran, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, Matt Fisher and Olly Stone are all injured.

Leach retains his spot as the sole spinner ahead of Matt Parkinson who has been a consistent wicket taker for Lancashire. It’s unbelievable he still can't get an opportunity ahead of Leach.

NZ should be at full strength for the series.

Meanwhile Bangladesh are 8/465 in response to Sri Lanka's 397 on day 4 of their first test.

Batting collapse of sorts by the Lankans in their 2nd dig on day 5

Currently 5/147, Matthews who scored 199 in the 1st dig out for a duck

Lankans lead by only 79

Sri Lanka got to 6/260 and the match ended in a draw which seemed inevitable after two big and long first innings from both teams.
