Contact below the knees WTF ?
Hawthorn bloke came from BEHIND and tripped over the Pies defender. Even then it was the most minimal contact.
Commentators mystified.

It's this sort of rubbish that is driving fans from the game

I do agree it’s cringeworthy but it was sent in a email to members as all 5 of those young ones have in the last couple of weeks extended their contracts.

I’ve tried to watch again this weekend after about 2yrs, I’ve turned the Freo and Bris game off now which was a good game but the result will be determined by Horrendous free kicks given and missed.

Well I got Fremantle wrong. When Gold Coast and then Collingwood beat them in Perth I thought I'd got them right, that they weren't genuine but since then wins over Melbourne and Brisbane have changed my mind on them, they are a shot at making it all the way. Melbourne still the yard stick but Fremantle are one side that can, with all things being equal, make Melbourne earn it.

What I noticed on the weekend with the umpiring was too many times an umpire down the field has paid a free kick despite the closer umpire not calling it on. On most occasions it was the wrong decision and the umpire down the field should have just stayed out of it.

He popped his head in last week to quote your crowd number with an attempt at humour that no one cared about.

22,859 on Saturday. Cold and wet, hardly conducive conditions for the many with prosthetic hips.

22,000? That would have to be a record low* for Adelaide?

*No COVID restrictions

Not sure how many of you were out in those conditions Saturday, I was at local football and it was as cold as I’ve ever been. Storm about 1:15pm I swear I saw snow.

I was runner for my daughter's game at Port District and it was as bitterly cold as I can remember. Reminded me of when I played in Canberra.
