Great days cricket, England should be well on top but 5 dropped catches didnt help their cause, wicket looks a belter for batting

Mitchell dropped on 3 by Root, was a regulation catch at first slip and Mitchell has made the most of his life, watching the highlights he took a liking to Jack Leach.

10 overs in the first 50 mins today, after 87 in 6 and a half hours of play yesterday (play finished at 6.30pm).Armchair expert wrote:No wonder the poms have a slow over-rate when they have a team meeting before each ball.

Apart from a Darryl Mitchell bomb that ended up in some lady's pint of Thatchers what other delays weren't out of England's control. Certainly wasn't taking wickets....The Dark Knight wrote:10 overs in the first 50 mins today, after 87 in 6 and a half hours of play yesterday (play finished at 6.30pm).Armchair expert wrote:No wonder the poms have a slow over-rate when they have a team meeting before each ball.
I hope they get sanctioned for it but I doubt it as I haven't seen any news on them getting penalised for their slow over rate in the first test.

Asking the umpires to check the shape of the ball every 5 minutes isn't going to help them much eitherheater31 wrote:Apart from a Darryl Mitchell bomb that ended up in some lady's pint of Thatchers what other delays weren't out of England's control.
