R12 Norwood v Sturt

Postby DOC » Tue Jun 21, 2022 1:02 pm

Saturday 2.35

Sturt had the bye last week and were trounced by the flag favourites last time out. Norwood beat Port at Alberton.

Taheny will miss for Norwood and Sturt will probably make a form related change or two.

First time around Sturt won by 28 points and have won the last 2. Norwood won the previous 7.

Promises to be a good game. Will Sturt put that Glenelg game behind them?

Sturt by 4 goals.

You're right North did give Strut a good beating by almost 8 goals in May

SANFL could've made this 80s round given the "Big 4 ;) " are playing each other.

Long time listeners first time callers would recall for a period there from 79-83 whenever the those four teams would play one another the other two would be scheduled as well that round. If you doubt me review those seasons on full points footy, happened more often than not.

"5KA is my kind of life", "5KA all the hits all the time" "round the grounds with 5DN when Adelaide needs to know"

Hopefully the combined attendance this week will break the 10 000 barrier
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I have to be quick to take a photo of the final score because he starts taking down the numbers before the final siren has finished sounding! (but still credit to him for doing the scoreboard duties).

You forgot my personal favourite, 5AD "more of the music you love best". Actually they were covering Football at the time also, Craig McGahan heading up the coverage.

Solid win by Norwood, putting a couple of good performances together. Sturt really coming back to the field after a strong start to the season.
No Surrender!
