Utterly pathetic!

South with season on line - Dogs playing for pride.

Crazy to think we were 3 goals up with 10 minutes to go and lose.

Season done ….

Well done dogs … you wanted it more and deserved to win.

Expectations this year for South well below par !

Not bloody good enough !!!

Skill level.... um, not so good.
Culture and club ethos however, is alive and well. Most of the season the endeavour has been spot on. That was evident today and was the reason we scrape a W.
Pres was great again, and Fort was excellent in ruck against Brooksby whi well and truly intimidated McCormack.
But (again) its the lesser lights stepping up... Lange, Llewellyn, young Cowham, Dahms.
In such a close result, I am glad that the umps call for a deliberate point in the 3rd quarter wasn't a deciding moment. Shocker...

That decision was a disgrace.
Really proud of the boys i thought we were done but they kept coming and got a memorable win .
Special mention to South for the class they showed at the end of the match for Trav Schiller in his 150th game

One of the worst decisions I’ve seen.

Have South Imploded?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Questions need to be asked about South's season.
After finishing third the last 2 years the recruitment this year has not worked. Forward line is dysfunctional and you have to wonder if Wright has taken the team as far as he can.
Can only hope recruitment is better for next year. Anyone know if Brownless will be back at South next year? Hopefully we can get Skinner back if Port don't offer him another contract. Need a key forward desperately.

Losing Menzie to sit in our VFL team hasn’t helped. He was looking real good and then to lose Kantilla aswell has taken away 2 small forwards that could kick a goal

Panthers fans maybe going a bit over the top with their disappointment. I couldn’t question the desire and work ethic of either side today.. and South were a man down after half time. As for the rushed free.. I was as enraged as any.. but the ump motioned a throwing type signal repeatedly after the goal was kicked to the protesting Dogs players.. will have to watch the replay I guess.
Some good reward for effort for the young Dogs..with 4 or 5 with less than 10 games under their belt and a few others with less than 50.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

I have watched the replay of that deliberate free kick. When first giving the free kick the umpire signals for deliberate. Then when Centrals are arguing on the mark, he changes it to a throw signal. The thing is the umpire is behind him, so I’m not sure how he could tell it was a throw. I couldn’t tell if it was or not watching it and the camera angle is pretty much what the umpire sees as well. So either the umpire realised he made a mistake and changed his decision or he guessed.
