Silvers I understand is a pretty decent bloke and a genuine person. But he would've known when he was appointed to the role this was set to rear it's ugly head at some stage.
The whole mentality of the club has to change. This is his and Olsen's biggest challenge, moreso than finding a new home, or developing new income streams.

The logical guess is it’s looking likely the AFLPA and Safework were told a bullshit story that came from Crows admin which dismissed the stories as pure rumours. Sounds like either the players versions weren’t asked, believed or they were told to keep quiet.

Would also make sense as to why a few players wanted to exit after the camp.

Logical guess? Seriously if any agency such as Safe Work SA, the AFL or the AFL PA who are now apologising/acting dumb couldn’t find this information out when doing their investigation they should be packing their bags also. A lot of these recollection of events happened in a public space and if they just listened to one side of events they should be shot.

I'm more surprised that at no stage did anyone in any form of leadership role step in and say "we can't go on together, with collective minds".

Safework and AFL both knew it all, Eddie confirmed that on 360 last night. It is only the AFLPA that are claiming they didnt know even though they spoke to the players.

Collective Minds seem to be not copping any flack over it. Haven't heard them mentioned once on any reports

Eddie's book also confirmed a rumour about the camp to be false. It was widely rumoured that the cupping of team-mates aggots happened but he said they refused to do it.

I think people are forgetting - this was a snippet taken out of an autobiography. The life story of Eddie Betts - from childhood, to AFL, to kicking goals, to the birth of his kids - and yes the camp.

It's not like he's come out and decided to rag on the camp and the club out of the blue. The people responsible for bringing this up are the media, who are choosing to highlight one aspect of the book, one part of an amazing, truly inspiring story of a proud black man when there are so many great stories about Eddie Betts to report on.

Yes of course the camp was bad obviously, and of course Adel handled this poorly - but the commentary around Betts getting over it, or non-indigenous players not bringing it up, or that he had his chance to talk about it etc are ******* stupid.

The whole focus should be on his book release and the story of his life - the barriers he overcame and broke down, and the pathway he's forged for the next generation of Aboriginal people,, but no, that doesn't generate enough hatred and vitriol for the media to worry about.

Case in point, AFL 360 last night!
All they talked about was the camp like it was the only chapter in the book.
Eddie himself had to several times say hey its only one chapter in the book.
But Robbo had to keep going over old ground. Like he was trying to get him to cry.(ratings driven)
I wanted to hear something enlightening about his transition from being a naughty little boy to being a genuine star.

I'm really wish the media would do what their actual job is
Report on the actual game and leave the offield stuff alone.

700 accredited media, that's almost 1 per player.
All of them career climbing, hoping for that big scoop.
Hounding players constantly, contributes to poor mental health, which in turn means they play shit footy.
I want to see the best at their best!
