Well done West, looked more dangerous going forward all day except for third quarter
South had a good third quarter and looked capable of a decent win early in last quarter
South really need a lead up forward who contests with arms out, as against totally being hold the ball in the area forwards
I get really frustrated with forwards who have the ball 60 metres out and slow the game down, as happened several times including in last quarter
We need to be decisive and more instinctive in forward line, make a decision and go with it
Also frustrated with the number of times we handballed forward to a player under pressure.
All players try their hardest, and I should end this rant and agree we were not good enough this year

Well, thats the season gone,if it wasnt gone already.
Its just a bloody awful shame that the players dont have the same desire to end a 58 year premiership drought, as the few die hard supporters that still follow this club.

Firstly, well done Westies. Desire, want and never give in attitude shined though yesterday.

As for us, a complete implosion in the last quarter. 26 points up - 4 goals kicked against us in 8 minutes.
South, mentally weak. It seemed some of our players would rather be having a surf off the mid coast yesterday then actually want to play football.

Club needs to move on some players who don't seem to want to be there.
Some players have gone "backwards" in their development from improving each year.
Our skills ?? Well I have seen better skills in a under 10 game. We can not mark, can not kick to a player, overuse the handball and turn it over, can not kick goals 25 metres straight in front of goals, pass the ball off and turn it over (when we are 30 metres out from goal).

Our forward line set up is like a dogs breakfast. No system at all. Kick and hope !

We do not have any player than really wants to step up and take the game on when challenged (no Cross, Liddle, Crabb) - Rose and Broadbent try but they have no mates.

Some seriously angry South supporters after the game...... and who could blame them. It just is not good enough and unacceptable.
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Season shot, if it wasn’t already. Just aren’t good enough in 2022.

Wow, what a meltdown though in those final 10-15 minutes. Right up there with the debacle at Elizabeth a month or so back.

The Bloods appeared to run harder in those closing minutes, took some risks and moved the ball with purpose and won some key contests (and were aided by some South blunders). Well done to Gotch and his men.

Many of the usual suspects named in South’s best…Haines, Brooksby, Broadbent, Sampson and Garthwaite.

Kicking 8.15 doesn’t help. Not the first time wayward kicking has been costly in a tight finish – the Woodville mudheap jumps to mind

Continues the run of games decided by two goals or less. South are now 5-6 in these matches.
