We are certainly an improving team, even if we won't end up winning more games than last year. A couple of key recruiting moves and we could well challenge for finals next year. I thought Monty's intercept marking was excellent today.

Well done Dogs. Probably deserved the win. Montgomerie very good. Hope we can keep the team together and pick up a couple of quality recruits, just a couple of players short. P.S next year please get rid of the short kick across the goal.

Awful game of football our skills early were terrible and we didnt help ourselves at all.
We kept having a crack and nearly got the win .
Just want to mention the absolute class shown by Jade Rawlings before the game ,he went out of his way to shake the hand and meet Alex our 9 year old Novita child for the day .Jade didnt have to do that so very classy from him well done .

Once again our defence led the way. Monty, Iles (this years most improved), Llewellyn, Hosko and Co have become a very strong unit that compliments each other beautifully.
Boyd and Surman showed what we miss in not having a genuine ruck.

To our club's credit, we had wins in the Ressies, U18s and U16s. This, after losing to Norwood in all three just two weeks ago (a quirk of the draw saw us playing Norwood two matches in a row in these grades), including a 74 point loss in the U18s. So close to a clean sweep today against a top club - well done, Doggies.

Dogs had the last handful of shots at goal but could not convert, how many of these chances should have been goals?

Why?
We led for all but about 1 minute of the game and I thought overall we were the better side for most of the game.
Unfortunately we reverted to the Norwood overuse of handball style which often comes unstuck. Not the best game but crucial to get the win after the inroads we have made the last month or so.
Absolutely massive game this week and a chance to push for a double chance
