Fair to say, I’m in wind down mode now…

Now the issue is clear.
You spend too much bending the elbow rather than extending the elbow which is why your bowls career is stalling at the minute

I drink left handed MT!!

Exactly.
The right arm has little strength in it!

Just trying to dig out of the hole

Actually one of the old ducks at the bowling club asked me if I was left handed….. brilliant, sledged by an Octagenerian!

Sleet, snow, fog… plus the uphill walk after half time to the other end!

Never seen an oval like it. They’ve built the new club rooms, tennis courts & practice pitches at the bottom end, hope they’ve got the drainage covered.
On to the game, first half a goalless arm wrestle. Game broke open after that with Brighton jagging two uphill into the breeze, you could see Mt Lofty drop their collective heads, spirits broken. The last qtr was a formality with the Bombers slamming on another 5 goals to 1 to record a comfortable victory. Said goal umpires didn’t swap ends to save energy & remain focused, thus no contentious decisions made.
A good end to the season for the mighty Under 11 girls from Brighton.

My youngest daughter was playing in the div 1 women's GF on Saturday so I thought it was a good opportunity to try and get my estranged son there to watch.

He cleared out his duties during the day to make himself available.

I thought it was best to not tell my other kids, we met at the gate beforehand, grabbed a beer and went to stand near where the girls run out hoping for my daughter to notice on her way past.

We watched the game with a few beers and laughs, for the first time ever my two sons were together there with me all having a chat.

The lad got into the game as it was close during the last quarter, my daughters team won so we went out on to the oval afterwards where she came running up to me and gave me a big hug, she then gave her newly found brother a big hug and thanked him for coming to watch.

Upon leaving my youngest son gave him a hug too, f*** man, tears flowed steadily on my long drive home, especially having a good chat with my sister.

My words "It's not everyday a 25 year old bloke that you've never met starts calling you dad", parental bliss.

Thank you, it's been a crazy roller-coaster, we've formed a strong bond very quickly, we know there's an elephant in the room but we both know it doesn't need to be addressed, it won't do anything for our future.
