Why don't port have a reversible guernsey for their home strip with the PBs design on the reverse side? Club can market it with some story about wearing the heritage every week, players could warm up with it and then reverse it into the normal Power guernsey, etc etc.

So you want to closet us in this day and age, brave! Clubs and players preach "it's for the supporters" this gives nothing to the supporters if it's not on display on gameday.

That's one way of looking at it...read my first sentence again. :roll:

So wear it in a showdown then, no need for a cloak and dagger operation for the rest of the season. :D

I guess Port people are fed up of getting our heritage dismissed because we expanded into another comp.

Yet you turn a post about doing the opposite of that into an argument about being dismissed on your heritage. The chip on the shoulder must be heavy.

Mate you suggested we hide our heritage in some kind of Kathmandu reversible style setup. My comment about 'dismissed' was in relation to Ambers 'real' dig.

The problem is that it was your admin who caused this.

They signed a contract that suited them at the time;
1. Because it was all part of their plan not to be too closely aligned to the Magpies to try and capture a new generation of supporter. Lets not forget the club at one point separated themselves from the Magpies, its only been in the last 5 or so years the club has moved direction to the one port marketing strategy.
2. Because they were happy to whatever it took to get in the AFL, same happened with the footy park deal, signed it because the appetitive to get in the AFL was so great and then cried foul when it didn't suit.

The club literally sold their soul for a spot in the AFL...…..pretty much the dictionary description of that saying. Your board would have sold their own mothers to get in at that point.

I find it fascinating that all anger is at the AFL and not your previous board ,members who signed the entry rules to the competition.

You can see your black and white prison bar guernsey every single week if you want - your heritage isn't hidden.

Even better, every second week its on display at your Alberton Oval home.

You can call out carn the maggies as loud as you like, you can even wear your old Bomber Clifford badge and magpies cap if you wish. (and Eddie McGuire, the AFL or any other Collingwood nuffie can't stop you)

Its weird (and pretty disappointing) that your club took the Magpies logo off of the legitimate place it could have it worn with pride (on an actual black and white prison bar guernsey), by players at your club, each and every week.
