The West Adelaide Football Club has announced that Senior Men’s Coach Bradley Gotch will not be reappointed for the 2023 Season. Brad comes out of contract in October 2022, and an extension has not been offered.

Brad, an experienced and successful coach at both AFL and SANFL level, has been instrumental in resetting the direction of the Mens’ teams. He has overseen the ongoing development of skills and players at West Adelaide over the last two years. Brad’s reputation and talent for nurturing players on and off the field has resulted in a stronger, more competitive and united squad, across both the League and Reserves teams.

“The Board would like to thank Brad for his professionalism and dedication to the West Adelaide Football Club, its players and its members. We wish Brad and his family all the very best at this time”.

As Brad transitions out of the role, we will commence the search for his replacement. Members and supporters will be communicated to when a new Coach is appointed.

Wont cost Westies much...

Will be paid $600k next year from Essendon for his contract.

Adam Hartlett seems the logical choice.

Maybe we will see a return to the good old days with his brother as a playing (senior) coach?

Gotchy - quality and all round nice bloke.

Think Westies ran out of patience.

West will get what they always wanted in a new coach this year…..they won’t be looking too far !
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Shame. Really rate Gotchy and you could tell West were definitely in their way up.
Might do a Central now and go backwards because of a bad decision.

For God's sake, why are people so precious that if they disagree with someone's opinion they cry troll/bait.
Fact is West really looked like they were on the way up with results in the last couple of months as did Central 2 years ago.
West should have beaten the minor premier 2 weeks ago and beat Norwood last week!
That after being a basket case previously (by their own supporters admittance).

Yeah I know, wah wah wah, troll, bait, blah blah blah. Sorry for having an opinion. Almost as bad as some of the sooks in the AFL forum.

Hartlett has coached basically the past 5-6 weeks and that’s when the real improvement came.

Really? Wasn't aware of that, was Gotch sick?
Did some of Gotchy rub off on Hartlett or has he taken things in completely a different direction?

Seems like it's working well then, good luck to Hartlett and Westies.
Should do well if they continue on the good work of recent times.

Any news on where Gotchy might be headed?
Hope he's not lost to the state again.
