Thoughts???

I actually don’t mind Lyon…..

Most likely won’t win you a premiership but could put you on the right trajectory for the coach after to similar to how Longmuir has the dockers in the 8

Did a good job with a couple of bang ordinary lists and will definitely shake the place up which is needed.
I’m not sure if being out of a job so long harms him or not and I’d say the out of court hush payment for sexual harassment within the club would be a black mark against him and would need to be examined closely

Just had a chat with my young bloke. He’d like to see Choco Williams at Essendon even in an assistant capacity.

Thoughts Jim?

His hardnosed "we're doing this my way" approach will be good for the club and players.

He's a straight shooter who isn't in their boys club.

And I’d say that’s the reason he won’t work there. Sadly i think Essendon fans etc can only accept Essendon people. Solomon or McVeigh maybe?

Your statement is not correct.
Most Essendon supporters and members want the best person for the job regardless.
The board however are a different kettle of fish and love giving jobs to ex players.

Yep ok my perception.

Sheedy was a Richmond player and did ok, so yes it’s possible.

Mind you I believe Sheedy is behind the Hird push… that’s just dumb.

Robert Walls and Jordan Lewis on the coaching review panel which is fantastic as both hate Essendon so will give some good feedback

Don't mind this. Walls won't be afraid to ask the hard questions and Lewis will be diligent, as it could open doors for him if he gets it right.

Did the same with Carlton last year too apparently. I think he believes he is above it all and just wants someone to practically beg him for the job
