kick in is not counted thats why players use to kick to themselves
now once they cross the line its counted
for out of bounds champion data count and include into free kicks
i know at westies we dont count in free kicks but keep it in a separate column :D

The amount of free kicks paid for and against each team is in reality a reflection on the team. They give them away.

The AFL reserves teams hit late and off the ball a lot more than any other team. They give away a lot more undisciplined frees.

This thread is absolutely laughable.

I would have thought North were the most adept at roughing up their opponents, not in an undisciplined sense, more as a team plan. Always see a lot of "near ball" incidents as well as a lot of (admirable) at the ball hardness there.

There just seems to be days where umpires are taking a particular position, eg. reward tackles or don't, clamp down on roughhousing or not etc. Centrals are usually a good tackling side, so when I see umps not reward tackles early in the game by calling ballups early or giving longer to dispose, I know we are in for a hard day, because we don't really adapt. I expect North fans get the same feeling when a few early hard contests or niggling are called against them.

As for that loose grab-bag of AFL aspirants, who cares. These complaints for them are like bitching about calls in a scratch match at training.
