Pretty tough listening to Eddie Bette on 360 tonight.

He knows one of the players and is in contact with him.
I think he's really feeling it, having to front the media with the same issue over and over again.
Dragging a player, of any heritage, out of a bad family/friend situation I can handle.
But the abortion thing is just out of control.

The worst bit was his anecdote on his experience at a local pool this year:

“I find myself being followed by security guards in a shop. This year. This year, I was in a pool. And the lifeguard came up to me and told me that I needed to get out of the pool. I was holding my kid, my baby in my hand with ny two twins riding around. And I found out that two old white elderly people told the lifeguard to tell me to get out of the pool because I was making their grandchild uncomfortable.“
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I love Eddie but wonder if there is more to that pool story.

All pools need to adhere to watch around waters ‘in reach is safe policy’ depending on their age a 1 parent 3 kids ratio isn’t allowed. I’m hoping that was what was enforced but not communicated correctly. Not some 1970’s segregation bullshit that is stuffed if true

Not sure grandchildren would be worried about ratios?

If I was Eddy I would've respectfully asked, why? Great opportunity to educate the young.
I think education should be given to indigenous on how to handle these kinds of incident.

How could there be.
I'm sure he provided a script for the "anti inflam" in powdered form to the cops.

Crown's slipped a bit!

Who is running the @7AFL twitter account? The content over the last couple of years has morphed into borderline trolling. Appalling for the national broadcaster of the AFL.

Isn't that pretty much all news these days.

News has had 3 generations.

-Actually, telling the news
-Then in the 2000's it became about being entertaining
-Then around 2020 its purely about getting hits, likes, comments, tags.

Clinton Grybas - today’s the 15th anniversary of his tragic passing.
Was a fantastic caller & the perfect sidekick for Rexy.

Another classic commentator.

Personally think most of the best are guys who weren't high level players. Grybas, hey day McCavaney, Anthony Hudson,

Still miss him, not only was he a great commentator but he was an awesome bloke always willing to have a chat to me only knowing me from the ABC basketball forum which he moderated when working there before moving to 3AW.
Had so much going for him too. Was a great caller of any sport. So sad. :(
