I'll change my mind on Jackson, I didn't realize he was pick 3 ( thought he was pick 15 or so for some reason ).

Pick 3, rising star, 21, he's worth more than Rankine.

Who cares what pick they were. Port are about to get Francis for a bag of half eaten burger rings when he was a top 10 pick.

Booney wrote:LUKE Jackson has today informed the Melbourne Football Club of his desire to return home to Western Australia.

Melbourne will now work with West Coast and Fremantle to secure a suitable trade.

Melbourne List Manager Tim Lamb said although the club was disappointed, they respected Luke’s decision.

“There is no doubt that we wanted Luke to remain at the Demons, but we respect his decision to want to return home to Western Australia to be closer to his family and friends.

“We will now work to secure a deal that compensates the club accordingly."

What about pick 8 and georguadies to West Coast for Rioli and pick 2?
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

West Coast will no doubt come after Georgiades. WA boy, and declined a contract from Port earlier in the year.

Probably doesn't want to play reserves either.

I hope we keep Georgiadis, he may not have had the best of seasons but I think he's going to be huge in years to come.

Georgiades is probably my favourite Port player, I love how dynamic he is as a foward so I really hope Port keep him too.

Can someone give me a case on why would Port want Rioli? Doesn't seen like he's the sharpest tool in the shed given his previous indiscretions and perhaps a quite unprofessional footballer?

With Gray and Motlop retired, Williams looking increasingly likely to not make the grade and Fantasia a day to day proposition we need a small forward who can drop straight into half forward, as a goal kicker. SPP, Jones and McEntee have been deployed there, more for defensive pressure and the goal reward is on the back of that pressure.

With Amon gone Farrell, who had played high half forward, might be needed more across half back / wing.

Obviously we'd rather not take Rozee and Butters out of the midfield.
