Norwoods last qtrs in the 4 finals games

NW 4-3
AC 3-2

NW 5-0
GL 3-1

NW 4-3
AC 1-3

NW 3-2
NA 2-0

Dutchy has mentioned the rain helped Norwood
I'm inclined to agree

14 points down v AC when it rained prelim final
12 points down today when it rained

The other thing is Norwood was the second favorite in all 4 finals games

It's time to take back the weekend after the AFL GF slot because the WAFL have now got it, realising its potential to have some 'clean air' as they say in the business.

Great Southern, Southern, Hills Div 1, River Murray, Ammos, Spencer Gulf, Northern Areas, Barossa and probably other Country footy leagues too all played their GF on the Saturday. I'd suggest that a lot of neutrals, general footy supporters connected with clubs in those league probably would be focusing on their local club this weekend be it, hosting, supporting teams in GF's or even wind up days on the Sunday and if anything would be sacrificed it would be a late 'on the day' choice to go to the SANFL GF. I think SANFL needs to consider this if they want to maximise their GF attendance.

As mentioned you are an improved chance of better weather on the October long weekend than mid Sept and it gives the fans of the winning team a chance to celebrate on the Monday holiday.
Success is in trying

Still in shock at that boundry throw in at the 26:20 min mark of the last term. No NA spare on goal side of pack. Panos allowed goal side of opponent to waltz thru  About as bad as it gets

They stopped trying to score at the 22-24 minute mark, it was the start of the end. If it was the on field leaders, they got it wrong, if it was from the bench it's a disaster, they'd have known there was 5 or 6 minutes to go. Colossal screw up. They'd be shattered.

Poor Lachie Wilsdon has now played in a couple of obscure grand final losses. This one on the weekend plus he was part of a SANFL 2016 maccas cup grand final in which Glenelg kicked a goal after the siren to a ball that bounced past about 10 roosters.

I stood up under the scoreboard with "The Groggies",
methinks age is catching up with them,
scurrying for shelter when the rain came :D
No banter at all either!
And to cap it all off, no-one was chucked out!
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze Centrals, we need you in a grand final!
We miss the banter, aggro & flares!

Seriously though, it was a great day & great fun too,
as a neutral I think that North got the rough end of the pineapple with a few umpiring decisions BUT, as has been mentioned, Panos shouldn't have been able to get clear with the ball to score THAT goal.
Bring on cricket season.

Also Aaron Young has now played in two SANFL GF losses, both by under a goal, both against Norwood. Port in the 2014 GF and yesterday.
