Hearing he's done mate. Callow might be a chance though

Reckon there’s a few SANFL clubs in to Callow.

Norwood already have a gun ruckman, where would you put him?
Central doesn't have enough big blokes, he'd be better off with Us!
He is pretty much the same height as McLean and is a pure forward.
Plenty of room for him at Norwood

It's very early days, the season isn't over yet.
The Club is going hammers & tongs to recruit as many players as possible,
if you throw enough shtick, some will stick!

On a very positive note, we were well represented by 7 young men this morning in the U17 Futures match. We have some very good young players coming through the system. We admittedly don't have the depth of other clubs in the juniors but our top level all seem to have promising futures.

Also, I hear that Big Phil and Gazza have started pre-season training, to fill any gaps we have next season ;)

Are you looking through my window?
I just did 40 sit-ups! :D
Time to get fit for my 60th next year!

Young fella, could you please do an extra 20 for this aged Dog sometime? ;)

He'd be a ruckman at Centrals, that's how short we are :D

How about the club tries to keep hold of the league standard players that they didn't want
4 players in Sundays GF were at centrals and the club didn't want or try to hard to keep any of them.
The way the club treated every one of them is a reason why you can't recruit anyone. Ross would want to be a genius because so many people don't want to work with Paul Thomas (Coaches included) and the under-age program will continue to be a joke as long as Scott Stevens is involved.
Trying to recruit players who can't even make other teams reserves squad probably shows where they're at.

I'll admit that Thommo's ways are maybe a bit "old school" & probably a bit too blunt for kiddies these days BUT he's been told to change his ways slightly by The Man & hopefully he will.
Obviously you hate him for your own reasons & that's fair enough too but I think that, with both Meggsy & Mark Ross on board together & with some good recruiting, we'll see The 'Dogs in the 5 in 2023,
they showed in the second half of 2022 to suggest that.
BUT I also think that if We don't make the 5 next season, Thommo will probably have to go.

Heck, we very nearly made the 8 this year ;)

Unfortunately, never ever going to happen. Being employed at Norwood Primary, it was too easy for Connor to train and play for Norwood.... plus the lovely smell of those brown paper bags lingers in the air when you are that close to the ground.

Delta's brother still got his subsidised VE Dunnydore from Peter Page Holden??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Its always bitter-sweet seeing players move on, but in Connors case, I am glad to see he had such an impressive year. Until 2021, he had never got a decent pre-season under his belt and was always playing catch up. He kept persisting (and in fairness, so did the Club in him) and last season he had a decent pre-season and then.....nada, he still could not perform at league level.
He clearly needed a fresh start, and Norwood was a logical fit due to work. Norwood gave him a decent shot at it, and both he and the Club reaped the rewards.

Sadly this is becoming a common theme at our club…….Lachlan grubb, Kelly, Elbrow others who benefited from a change of home.

We used to be renowned for getting players from other clubs and improving them, now it’s the other way around.

We're in the process of turning that around, have faith.
The Club has their eye on several fairly decent players, we just need to make sure We secure them, at any cost!!

Mclean averaged 6 kicks, 2 handballs & 1.5 goals per match in 2022, not something to get too excited about & hopefully the person/people we recruit will perform better for us than that, time will tell,

That's okay, we've still won five more premierships in the 2000s than you have ;) (and zero wooden spoons since 1977).

Still, I wouldn't mind adding to that before I die - and am not sure we will.

If Billy plays forward all the time next year, he has a big chance of doing that.

Yes great to have Skinner back with his intercept marking ability. Will be very nice watching him and Joey Haines working together again. This is all subject to the AFL drafts of course…
