Not sure what the "selectors" reasoning was, but mine was purely that Jamie Lane cant move great these days, genuine stay at home full forward. Woodcock is a 5x retired old man whose still dynamic but better suited to a deeper role.
Payne I had in a pocket as a resting mid / fwd.
Harris super athletic as a CHF, and put Rigney on one flank to play high, and O'Dea bit more as a quick pressure type.
I also considered Catterall as the key forward with 44 goals from 14 goals, and Weetra 42 goals from 15 games. Rosenthal was super impressive against Ingle Farm but 10th in the D6 goal kicking hard to fit him in.
For defenders I considered Matt Wanganeen as well - thought he was incredibly hard to beat 1v1, but Dempsey was exceptional across CHB. With Rusby being the best CHB I saw all year, meant i had to shuffle Dempsey, he went deepest instead, forcing Wanganeen out.
