Thanks Bays but that's not what I'm looking for.
At my age, "cultural experience" in Darwin outer suburbs is a scary concept.
We're looking for an apartment and only want it for a month per year and rent it out for the rest.

Mates rates for safooty people if I get one :-BD

Yeah I know that’s not what youre looking for and certainly it’s less cultural in Cullen Bay than say where I am near Cauarina where 300 m away we have a Wadeye house….

Darwin’s been like Adel the bite hasn’t hit but it’s certainly slowed so you might find a bargain from someone who over capitalised when the rates were low and it’s starting to bite.

Evan at Yots in Cullen Bay is a good host

We spent 3 weeks in NT last year but stayed at the Wyndham Zen Quarter whilst in Darwin.
The only time we went near Cullen Bay was to go on a charter
Friends of ours live in Cullen Bay for 6 months of the year. Being racing people they have a blast.

I am in no rush to buy but have worked out what I want.
I'll just sit and wait for the right one.

I had to google what a Wadeye house is 8-[

What advantage does an i-stop button bring to the car?

Surely it would waste more fuel re-starting all of the time and it would wear out the starter motor sooner?

No, old starter motors, think 1990's, would do 50-60,000+ start ups in their life time, now you'll get 500,000+ out of a starter. Bearings, brushes, solenoids, wiring, all the technology has improved out of sight.

For you and me it probably ( if you don't turn it off like I do ) saves you a couple of cents a week places like Sydney or larger cities around the world it probably saves more, add in the reduction of emissions and it's a lot of small wins for the pocket and the environment.

I disable mine as soon as I start the car, it delays the take off and it just basically grinds my gears hearing it.

I used to find them annoying when I was parked at light and the car next to me had it.

despite Sapol spruiking a "blitz" for the weekend, i saw hardly any police on the roads at all.

drove to warnambool saturday, saw 1 police car on the whole journey there.

saw 2 vic pol cars at the farmers market in warnambool sunday morning, there was a fundraiser they seemed to be taking part in for veterans mental health

saw 1 police car on the way home monday, and that was at an accident site between coomandook and tailem bend, and it left while we were still passing the crash (i think they were taking off after someone who sped past, despite all the emergency vehicles)

so, basically, no. i usually see more police cars when im just out for a cruise on a nice weekend arvo

I went through Wakefield on my way to Vincent around 3pm Friday. I came back the same way around 10am Monday.

Saw 1 cop car and he was on the Port River Express Way near Perkins Drive at the back of the Port hair drying people coming over the bridge.
