Probably by your lot, he's 23, short, not overly quick. He plays too many "poor" games IMO.

I think it was the bulldogs who were interested in him, dunno why .

That's what I recall too.

Yeah fair enough, I mean the Crows are an exceptionally well-run organisation.

All 18 clubs have told players they intend to draft or rookie a player then don’t. Happens every season.

Your constant defence of the Club is impressive, but can you ever admit they get things wrong

Have spoken to the family direct - they did not ring him, they did promise him rookie contract before he went overseas, these are facts!! They have the right to change their minds, most people probably think it is the correct call, but have the guts and decency to ring the kid and tell him directly. Absolute disgrace - would you be happy if this was your son - doubt it very much!!

I criticize the club when warranted, quite simply if this wasn’t “Jimmy Rowe” it would be a none issue.

His contract was finished, the end.

I've been an IT contractor for over 20 years, and I've never NOT had a conversation with my boss or someone in charge who makes those decisions. I've been 'released back to the workforce' a few times at the end of those conversations but they have been had nonetheless.

Wouldn’t worry me as I knew it was coming. If he’d be sacked then I would have an issue

42.431 posts and this probably the lowest

As he was told he would be rookied before going overseas and THEN the club changes their mind (which they are entitled to), then, YES, they do owe the kid a phone call. You are as bad as the Club at saying sorry or I was wrong!!

We do have 4 rookie spots to fill...I actually think he would suit one of the top teams i.e. Stengle has fitted seamlessly into a good organised team where he can play to his strengths. I could see Jimmy having a 30-40 goal season at somewhere like Melbourne.
