Rioli
Disp 12
Goals 1.1
Tackles 2.8

Rowe
12
.8
1.7

Nice stats, but the stats you quoted above is that Jimmy 'might' average 1.5 - 2.0 goals a game in a good side, which would have him with better stats than Junior?

What 'might' Junior average in a good side? (albeit some of his career at west coast he was already in a good side).

Slightly different price tag on the 2 of them as well.

I agree.....as a money ball pick Rowe would be better value than Rioli and maybe has some bigger upside given he doesn't have a past littered with drug and discipline problems.

If Rioli had not of said he wanted to come home would Port have chased him that hard........i believe the answer would be no.

Rioli is better…… but even the numbers suggest his not ‘that much’ better especially given Rioli spent a period at a winning side and Rowe has been at bottom feeders.

If you could have picked up Rowe for half the price of Rioli I would say that’s almost better value.

Glass half full/empty

Rioli would have less crumbing to do with Kennedy and Darling in the forward line. I've always said that it's harder for a small forward with the ball coming in well and with good tall forwards.

If the ball comes into the forward fifty haphazardly or with ordinary forwards, it creates more opportunities for a small forward.

Junior was also part of WC midfield rotation and has been since 2018. So he has the ability to play forward and in the guts (explains why his goals per game isnt higher).
Rowe hasnt seen a midfield rotation since U/18s or the occasional squirt in the mids at SANFL level with the Eags and Crows 2s.

The only thing Junior Rowe has in common with Junior Rioli is a surname that starts with "R" and it also has an "o" and both their fathers played at South Fremantle and were bloody good footballers
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Is Rioli really going to spend any time in their midfield with Wines, Rozee, Butters, Boak, SPP. JHF, Drew, Duursma all likely to be in there best 22 and demanding midfield minutes.
