Started cutting hay yesterday, we get to 8 o’clock last night with about 4 hours left to cut and we are thinking do we push on and finish tonight or do we just finish it tomorrow? Well the forecast is for 70% 1-5mm and possible shower, ok let’s finish it in the morning. About 2.30am I’m woken with rain on the tin roof and it hasn’t stopped. 8mm so far and no end in sight yet.
It’s a pain in the butt about our little bit of hay getting wet but massive boost again on all our other crops.
Definitely an above average year coming up but it’s not in the bag yet.

wont get anywhere near 1956 someone said, it'll barely get near 1974. I think the boffins based this on the amount of gigalitres (goes over my head)

Only time will tell, i guess.

I was in Mildura a few weeks ago and the water level was very low...I asked a local why and they said they were releasing it because of the volume that was coming down

Yeah we had around 50ml and still counting.

Little bit of minor flooding around the area but nothing to serious…

We have the Broughton river run through our property, flowing bloody fast
