The first 4 in the cup paid over $100k.

If you had boxed the field and paid $1k… would you have made money?

Had a good spring carnival… until today.

Been smashed, like losing a GF by 118 pts.

Still… could be worse I guess…

Nope, after being persuaded to change my punters bet from a trifecta to a roughie I stuck with exotics all day, I didn't have the 17.

I did put $50 in my account on my journey out, got as pissed as a cricket, woken up with over $800 in my pocket and I can't check my account as my phone is currently sitting in someone's car according to "find my phone".

I got a lift with a mate's mate and must have left it in his car, I've gone there but no is answering the door.

So yeah, good day out!!

FWIW, I won about $600 on a trifecta, the same bet would've won me $4200 if I did the pick 4, it's kinda my general luck really.

That's a great day out. My 'general' luck was backing two $2.80 winners all day. One of them was a dog race at the end of the day for our syndicate.

I put tickets into the machine (yeh, old school) and the betting was closed despite them not jumping, twice. They won (8.60 and 19.00) but of course I had no money on them. That's my luck!

I had trifectas and only 1 of the horses finished top 4.

Heads a bit heavy today, probably what happens when you crack your fist one at 10.30 in the morning. Had a good day, especially with Krakarib getting home in the first and Bartholomeu Dias at good prices. Just checked and had 15 winners for the day, but didn’t finish that much up so plenty of darts missed the board.

Sadly not too long after Flemington had finished a lady at the hotel suffered heart failure and unfortunately passed away, so the hotel had to be evacuated, was kinda eerie. Sad for family and friends of the deceased lady and really put into perspective how fragile life is. Hope she was having a ripper day.

I spoke to a friend at the Hotel to see how they were coping and I said I just hope the poor lass had a great day, and was told she was indeed having a great time. Won’t be much comfort right now I’m sure but someday it might be comforting at least to know she was enjoying herself to the end. Sincere condolences bud.
