Good luck to Connor. Has been a very loyal servant for the Eags hanging around as long as he has. Got a brief look at senior SANFL this year but unfortunately didn't work out for him. Hopefully he can establish himself at another Club.

Another player exiting from the Eags. Hopefully the club can announce some quality signings shortly! Feels like it's all one way at the moment

Sounds like Tom Keough is finishing up his SANFL career at the Bloods.

They have also parted ways with the following depth players:

Connor Fairlie
Reed Stevens
Lyndon Hupfeld
Ken Karpany Jnr
Charlie Allan

I'd imagine that one of the challenges at the Eagles right now is the race to sign recruits is occurring before the 5 AFL delisted players of Rowe, Poulter, Frederick, Schofield and Polec know whether they have a future at AFL level. We could end up with none or all of them, but to what extent do you reserve salary cap space at the expense of missing out on other recruits?

Connor was never going to make it. The coach has had three years looking at him, gave him three league games in a row and just wasn't up to league standard. I think you will find Schofield has already been signed by a WAFL club, I just can't remember which one.
I think you will find the footy dept. has been working very hard to get what we need, Sheedy will be very determined to improve considerably on last seasons finish. The Eagles also have a good crop of youngsters coming through, I think they will put out a very competitive team. Last year the Eagles lost good players at the last minute and had significant injuries through the season which crippled the balance of the team.

North Adelaide have signed Matt McKenzie from West Adelaide.

Slightly surpirsed with Jesse White and Mitch Harvey already there as ruck options...

Maybe plays permanent forward or backs up white and allows big Mitch to roam closer to the small square.

Dominant forward as a junior, but played a bit of League footy off half back.

Has had a lot of injuries in recent times.

Agreed, on both fronts.

That being said, sometimes blokes thrive in a new environment, with new opportunity.

Possibly. I would imagine Henley Sharks fans would be more excited about him up that way than Eagles fans, though.

Was the classic "bear in the square" type

Was residentially bound to Sturt as a junior. If memory serves me clearly, was part of a Callum Coleman-Jones swap as 15 year olds.....
