How long did North Melbourne know for?

Who's the common denominator here... think the lad needs to take a little responsibility. Judging by his past, he's not the most honest person going around. They probably both didn't know the extent of the injury.

Definitely leaning that way. A few different scenarios could be at play....

Hardly think 3 weeks from when he was recruited is the waiting time for a Port player so it either has to be an injury sustained since getting here or one that wasnt fully disclosed before coming. Unless of course Port wanted to give him some time to settle back into SA before having a surgery but the fact it's his hometown that seems the least likeliest.

I'm a bit surprised the media havent been all over this, it seems right up there alley.

Surely clubs would send a doctor / physio etc and conduct their own medicals on players before recruiting/signing??

Absolutely and given the injury is to illeviate ‘soreness’ which is almost impossible for a doctor to check especially if they don’t have prior fitness measures you have to think the ‘soreness’ wasn’t disclosed.

Below is probably the most reliable article given it quotes a medical personnel from Port but hard to understand if true how that process took them close to a month. I mean a few months ago I went to a doctor, got a scan and had the results back the next day.

At a guess

He has PAES, Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome, which is rare, hard to diagnose (requires magnetic imaging and a possibly a team of specialists) and certainly not through a football club medical It requires surgery to alleviate and, perhaps the most important for this thread, is akin to having sore calves. cramp, fatigue after strenuous exercise but is relived through rest. Hence why it is hard as all of us (most of us ?) have also had these symptoms which at a second guess is what most professional athletes have constantly.

Or he's a wuss.

Phillips, Houghton, Ballard, Ewings, O'Dea, Foley and Tahau all get open invites back. They are our best players no doubt about it.

Adding to those 7 I've got another 8 that we clearly want to keep. These girls all bring value to our program:
Dowrick, Mules, Surman, Borg, McGrath, Levicki, Boag and Duursma

Port Adelaide would like thank Liz McGrath for her contribution in its inaugural AFLW season.

The club has informed McGrath that she will not be receiving a playing contract in 2023.

Yeah I was keeping McGrath as we need rucks (albeit she got injured twice in a short season this year).
With that said, some chatter around that she wasn't overly keen on buying in to the program and doing the right things (like not getting on the turps when you've just done your hammy).
No idea if that's actually what happened or if these stories only come out once the player leaves, but the fact they've cut her straight away and not anyone else suggests there might have been an issue.

Puts more pressure on Levicki to carry the load next season.

Is she eligible yet? I thought she had one more year to wait.
Either way she'll win it whatever year she starts.

Good question, with the change of seasons Im all confused when they can start.

Are Port likely to take a Ruck in the draft this week?
