I had no say in the matter, it was paid for and booked by someone else.
Should've known, St. Francis Winery but it isn't a winery? WTF???????
One bedroom apartment -
I’ve never been catfished by a hotel before tonight. We booked in for 2 nights. We checked in, admires the grounds and commented on how cute, walked in and walked right back out. These people have no right to change in excess of $180 per night. There are motels for $60 in roadhouses that have less suspicious stains than this one. The appliances and beds needed to stay in the 80s where it all belongs. I was terrified to walk barefoot on the carpet let alone lay in the bed, even fully clothed. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else, far far away from here. The staff were super lovely and understanding and didn’t seem surprised that we walked back to reception with our bags in hand. This place is crying for some paint, a good clean -ANYTHING. To the owners, do yourselves a favour and book into a hotel of the same price and learn what the industry standard is for this price point before you set about charging people any money at all. Your hotel needs a serious update or a drastically lower cost involved. Wish we could get a refund for the petrol used in getting there and into a new hotel literally anywhere away from here. No way I was putting our baby down on anything in this place

Spent the weekend in Goolwa and in planning for it about 2 weeks ago booked in for dinner at the recently opened Thai Days. 10 days out we could get in at 5:15pm or 9:15pm. We took the 5:15, big breakfast late, walked into Goolwa ( around 2km ) and sat at the Wharfe before a few in the Goolwa before dinner. Suitably lathered 6 of us head across the road for dinner.
Started with some satays, spring rolls and crispy chicken wings, they were all very good, in particular the peanut sauce on the satays.
I had prawn pad thai that included 6 massive prawns, spicy without being too hot as I'm not keen on really hot spice and pad thai is a safe bet there. Tried the beef massaman curry, the beef was cut with a spoon, the yellow mixed seafood curry was just spicy, mates crab fried rice was full of good chunks of crab ( I estimated 1 good sized bluey ), I didn't try the red fish curry his Mrs had as she loves spice and was in a lather and my Mrs had a bbq chicken stir fry that was outstanding. Pot of rice shared by those who had the curries. 3 beers, 3 vodkas and a total of $245. $40 per person.
I'll happily state it's the best thai food I've had when not in Thailand. It was superb. The place spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and attentive and the atmosphere what you expect in an Asian restaurant. Smells, sounds, people enjoying life.
Absolute ripping feed and spot.
Food 9/10
Atmosphere 9/10
