Looks like they've blown their big chance to get out of the group stage. Very lacklustre performance. Will be some intriguing games to finish off the group stage.

So all teams only have one round robin game to go and its all looking pretty close.

Eliminated
Qatar
Canada

Progressed
France
Brazil
Portgual

Looking at each group my predications to get through to the next round are:

Group A- Netherlands & Ecuador
Group B- England & USA
Group C- Poland & Saudi Arabia (Argentina elminated)
Group D- France & Denmark (Sadly i see us going down by two goals)
Group E- Spain & Germany
Group F- Belgium & Croatia
Group G- Brazil & Switzerland
Group H- Portugal & Uruguay

So, you're tipping Canada to beat Morocco and Belgium to beat Croatia? Can't see that happening. Morocco are playing well with Ziyech on the right and Boufal on the left. They will also be pushed along by a huge crowd. Should beat Canada and progress.
Argentina will beat Poland
Couple of very spicy games ......
USA v Iran
Ghana v Uruguay

Yeah Morocco hasn't conceded against 2 strong European teams, they won't lose to Canada. A draw sees them through but they'll win anyway, could finish top.
Japan really fluffed it against Costa Rica, allows Germany a chance. Spain may rest a few though.
Poland haven't conceded either so will fancy themselves defensively but may struggle to score themselves if Argentina get ahead.
Iran just has to draw against US. Will be a spicy game indeed.
I hope Australia doesn't play for the draw from the start, we need to score early.

Will be interesting if Argentina, Belgium and Germany eliminated in group stages. Will really open the door for a Brazil/France final

All just guesses.

I reckon Canada have had some brilliant moments and are ‘too good’ to not finish with a win.

Agree Morocco have been very good but reckon they also have a shocker in their locker.

What's the plan for tonight...

Sleep in 2 shifts, waking up for kick off and then try and grab another hour or so after the match

Stay up and try and function on a couple of hours sleep?

I’ll get home around 9pm, have dinner and a shower and try to sleep for 3-4hrs. Watch the game and then probably just stay up as I’d normally get up at around 5am anyway

First day of the month means a ton load of reports are due so going to be a fun day

Metro to the Al Janoub Stadium about 4 p.m., then bus shuttle (the logistics of this tournament have been appalling - will provide detailed report to SA Footy when I get home). Should be in seats between 5 and 5.30.

France score in the 98th minute so a draw would’ve been enough

Danes had their chances in the first half, but they ran out of ideas after about 40 minutes. There were some positive signs for us before half time and that flowed into the second half. Danes resorted to long balls, but Soutar was massive. Great win

Souttar an absolute beast, again.

Lol the other teams in our group - Tunisia, can barely beat the B team, France, absolutely pathetic from a defending champion, and Denmark can't beat anyone lol.
