Starc also plays as his footmarks create rough for Lyon to bowl into.

When selecting it’s not just about 11 individuals but also the team. What’s the best combination tactically, technically mentally and physically.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Same pace, same spot so it would be like a bowling machine and they’ll get use to it quickly. Need some point of difference as Mal eluded to.

What your forgetting though is in England they’re is natural movement off the pitch which makes it a completely different ball game. Point taken if we are talking about in Australia where there is little sidewards movement

Would also imagine facing Hazelweod and Boland very different. Hazelwood comes across as if he would bowl a heavy ball from a great height always hitting high on the bat, whilst Boland is fairly small for a pace bowler so would imagine he is a lot skiddier.

Hazelwood / Boland would be very similar to Hazelwood/Siddle which proved to be pretty successful last ashes series over there given we drew which was our best result in a fair bloody while.

With the amount of bowlers that go around the wicket to the left handed batsmen these days that’s an Ian Chappell 1980’s theory.

Nevermind the fact that if you bowl first all it does is create footmarks for the opposition bowlers.

I’m not forgetting that at all, Starc gets movement also. Starc is also a far better batsman also.

Yeah about three feet outside off stump or down leg. By the time he gets to nip one back in a good spot his been hit for 35-40 runs from bowling rubbish which is why his record in England is very average

Definitely enjoys the pink ball.

To be honest any time he can get the ball to swings there isn’t much better…… when his not swinging it is another story.
