No Josh Hazlewood at this stage.

I really thought Warner might have played his final test match.

It's pretty weak of CA to let the last lot of allegations come out and not do anything about it, how can he look his team mates and support staff in the eye?

How dumb though? "I suggested we cheat, they told me to go for it".

Just move to Antarctica and take Sonny Bill's bang with you.

Less than half the side played in that series
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Bang on.....

The silencing is deafening. I guess the new chairman will be getting a brief and then plan how to cover it up with the CEO.

Probably not when he's half their height.

We obviously have differing opinions of him, mine is that he is overlooked for any captaincy roles because they don't think he is capable of one.

Doing a backflip when they finally allow him the opportunity to contest it was a bit strange for my liking.

I reckon CA could lance a boil and hasten Warners retirement from International cricket if they lift the captaincy ban

Warner would become a T20 merchant for hire around the world and boost his income by captaining the Sydney Thunder

After the Ashes (if selected) and World Cup that would be him in tests and ODis.

CA get marketing for the BBL (and happy TV partners), Warner out of the international side and increased chance of the dirty laundry from Hobart and Cape Town staying confined to the rumour mill

Warner gets good $$$ and chance to play professionally until he's 40

Yeah there will be a short-term media and public out-cry that will last all of say 48-72 hours a until the next mock indignation takes over the interweb

Yep and i reckon Warner would have taken that deal......let him finish of with the Ashes and WC and then he would voluntarily retire. Let him captain t20 franchises around the world and he would have kept his mouth closed on what all but looks like systematic ball tampering with administrative approval.

Or CA could grow a set and be honest with what really happened.
Warner will tell all when he retires anyway so get in first with what really happened.

Warner's appeal was not about being able to captain Australia, it was to captain Sydney Thunder in BBL. He has had success captaining a side in the IPL, so he's more than capable to do it. CA wanted him to captain Thunder, but botched the appeal by outsourcing the process. Also, in committing to BBL this year, Warner turned down a much higher offer to play in the International League. He might be lost to BBL after this season.

I wasn't fully aware of the first bit, thanks for the clarification.

Totally agree, I can't see too many class players sticking around for the BBL once they have finished their international careers, for the amount of games they play and the length of the comp it makes it not very appealing in comparison.

I 100% agree thats how it should be handled.

Unfortunately, just like what Warner looks likely to do is what the admin will also do. They know if it comes out now they all lose their jobs and lose income.....delay it, maximise your income and then let it come out once you walk into the sunset.
