Been a 24 hours of massive mixed emotions, after getting the great news that my old man was clear of cancer after battling it all year - 2 surgeries, including one that went for 5 hours - we got the news a friend passed away at 53, only saw her last week

Geez life gives you some highs and lows.

*Old mans scare was solely due to him not wearing a hat back in the 80's when playing cricket, 40+ years later it comes back to bite, don't make the same mistake

The death at the Waikerie Pool over the weekend.

Working in the aquatic industry no one means/wants for that to happen. Tragedy for all those involved including family, other patrons, staff and the entire community.

Good mate of mine has a son with Down Syndrome, he has been looking forward to his 21st birthday for the last 2 years, he has basically invited everyone he has met in that period, it was all set for tomorrow, until he tested positive to COVID yesterday, poor kid

I know a mate will be reeling, he was involved in a police shooting years ago as one of the officers and struggles to this day with it. I messaged him last night and will pop in for a beer with him this afternoon.
