Honestly this is a remarkable turnaround from where we were 12 months ago in the ashes. 9 out 10 tests won, beating India, SA, Kiwis and now the Pakis is pretty good. No clue how it will fare against the Aussies but it will be darn entertaining and I'd say this is one of the most anticipated ashes since 2005.

England wins by 8 wickets.

Shows what happens when you decide to take the game and the opponent on and go for broke.

Already pumped for the Ashes....going to be a beauty.

Can't see them putting too much life in the pitches for our bowlers over there.

There is always life in the English pitches, can't remember the last English summer that there hasn't been. They back in Jimmy and co to deliver on green seamers and rightly so.

I reckon for a while there when Swann was number one in the world they had dry low pitches that were taking a lot of spin and offering very little to the pacemen.

Very true. That 2013 ashes produced dry pitches to suit swann. Considering we haven't had a decent spinner since then that season I'm not surprised :D

I think England will do the same this ashes but moreso to suit their batting.

With the rate they bat at presently they won't be worried about a batting friendly wicket producing a draw.

What will be interesting is if the scenario arrives where the aussies have to make a third innings declaration. You feel they would be very defensive with this because of what England has done in the last 9 months.

The 3-0 result of the series is the first time ever where Pakistan has been whitewashed at home.

Incredible that England had only won 2 Tests in Pakistan before this series.

Cricket continues today in Pakistan v New Zealand in Karachi for the fist test of two.
Pakistan batting first.
Shafraz Ahmed is back for Pakistan replacing Rizwan, his last test match was in January 2019.
Tim Southee's first test as skipper, NZ's top six pretty much pick themselves and they have picked three spinners- Bracewell as the all rounder, Sodhi and Ajaz Patel.
Interesting to see how NZ goes in Pakistan compared to England.

Pakistan 4/115 at lunch, going at 3.83 RPO but a pretty good start from NZ getting the 4 wickets.
