Is there more of a talent mismatch in world sport than when a world class fast bowls to a genuine number 11.

At least when the number 1 tennis player plays number 200 in a grand slam the number 200 has a fair idea what he's doing.

How do we continue to get it right though?

Who was our last genuine test bunny? McGrath was ordinary but managed a half century, has there been any since?

Well here's a sh!t rule that should be changed.

The Aussies sneak in an extra over just before lunch, whit Pistol taking Starc's cap at 11:59:55.
That over takes 6 minutes to bowl, with several field changes.
Lunch was scheduled for 12 til 12:40.
However as they didn;t get off until 12:06, the resumption of play is held back until 12:46.

What a joke.
Get them going at 12:40 on time.

Heres a thought, instead of giving them the benefit in slow over rates, the extra half hour should more than cover that, lets penalise both teams for slow over rates. Its just as much the batters fault as it is the fielding team. Hefty fines for both will see them get through the overs.
oh and if its good enough for the umpires to carry some water in country cricket on hot days its good enough for our national team!
oh and gloves can only be changed at drinks breaks, thats 40mins on hot days, 60 mins on others, there is not a set in the world that doesnt last that long. Even Mals green spiked gloves would survive an hour at the crease

So the final wicket in the Boxing Day test match, giving Australia the win was taken by a leggy from The Shane Warne Stand end - fitting I’d say…

No way Swepson can be considered for Sydney with the way he bowled in the BBL tonight, nearly had a couple bounce twice.

Out of curiosity has there ever been less test days of cricket in an Australian summer before.

Have we ever had a season where not one game reached the fifth day.
