What am I missing with Kerry O'Keefe?

Why does Fox pump him up as the funniest bloke on the planet, I want to know who actually laughs at his jokes other than him and people paid to do so?

I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t find him funny!

If you get an answer can you let me know?

I liked him on radio as it seemed more natural radio commentary requires more description on what is happening.

He is putrid on TV and it's why, whenever I can, I watch Ch 7's coverage
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

He takes 3 weeks to spit out his joke and it ends up being stupid

Whilst we're on commentators, is there a worse ball by ball commentator than Gus Warland?

I know he's paid to be the local bogan, but he's putrid, I turn it off whenever he's on.

I just wish that one of the broadcasters had a good commentary team so that you don't have to change stations every time they change the mics

Now some players come out whinging about Justin Langer.

Just when CA were trying to push the narrative that the fans are falling in love with the team again the players do this...

Not sure there will ever be a commentary team we like as much.

Your teenage/early adulthood era will also be what you deem the golden days.

Not sure any of us 35-55 year olds will ever think anyone is as good as Benaud, Lawry, Grieg.

My two favs though were Maxy Walker, Simon O'Donnell and then on the radio the ABC Grandstand had a legend of a bloke who did the SA games, i remember getting to spend a couple of days with him watching him do his updates for the shield games but can't for the life of me remember his name.....thinking now maybe Roger Wills.

This is India's first home test series in 11 months. They only played 2 home tests in 2022.

Pretty sure the ch9 commentary team with the skipper Richie was the best well rounded group we will ever have.
Think you're right with Roger Wills

Ch9 went downhill when Mark Nicholas arrived

I can't help but think CA or C7 / C9 are the issue with commentators.. I used to enjoy the likes of Mark Nicholas, Kerry O'Keefe, Simon Katich etc.. until they went to the mainstream Aussie broadcasts.

I enjoy the radio commentary more because they commentate the game in more detail - I find on tv the commentators go off on tangents and tell meaningless stories, or find one thing they don't agree with, or a mistake made and repeat it over and over for an hour.
