Certainly puts a dampener on the day, Flemington already finished, Murray Bridge hasn’t started yet and crap races at Rosehill, feels like a Sunday.

As a rule I try and hang off til 2pm, today has flipped me about

Leading Sydney jockey Tommy Berry has been banned from racing for more than 12 months over a betting scandal. Berry, 31, fronted a NSW stewards hearing on Tuesday where he was disqualified for 11 months and two weeks for "accepting a consideration".
He has also been suspended for a further four weeks for mobile phone offences. Jockeys are not permitted to use mobile phones inside the rooms during a race meeting. Stewards found Gold Coast butcher and big-time punter Zaid Miller transferred $15,000 to a family member of Berry's after he won more than $100,000 on races following advice from the jockey.
Berry is set to appeal his disqualification.

The 3YO Guineas @ The Gold Coast looks like a cracking race for exotics.

Did anyone see West of Africa's run home Saturday week ago? He's currently at 41's and after watching that run I'm chucking him in a tri or a F4, there's plenty of form in that race but I think it's going to produce huge exotics.

He ended up getting scratched, I was glad that the meeting was cancelled and he's back in, at a better price too.
