I’ve done that and it goes alright.

Great spot and only 25 minutes from my place.

All 3 pubs in Moonta are owned by same company and don’t do meals (maybe pub in Main Street might?) so all locals including me go to the Pt Huges tavern or up the Wally World (Wallaroo, 10 minutes away) for a feed.

Will need to book early as it been booked out a few days ahead during holidays.
General store in Pt Huges has great takeaway seafood packs.

You probably been there plenty of times before but just trying to help out.

Hello Doc,
Yes we go to the Bond Store a bit but definitely not during January as for obvious reasons always packed like last night.
Do I rate it?: For pre drinks before going to another pub it’s good but the food is a little fancy for this country boy.
I’m a surfNturf, chicken parmy, seafood platter etc and 5 pints of Cooper’s Pale ale type of bloke.

As already mentioned plenty of people rate it highly so definitely worth a try mate.

Incorrect Spargo, it went when the pub sold out to the big mob that got it now. They have also got the Central in kadina (also sh#t now) and the pubs in Broughton along with others I can’t think of right now. It’s all about pokie traffic.

I wasnt aware of the Moonta pubs changing hands or the food situation, unreal. I used to go up to the Cornwall for lunch with my Grandma when I visited back in the 80's.

We are heading up in 2 weeks time and have already booked into the Pt Hughes Tavern, they have a comedy night so should be good fun.

My father was born in Moonta Mines and we spent a lot of time visiting relatives in my youth.
My wife and I visited last year while at a nearby Rotary conference, and found it has changed a lot.
